Sep 8, 2017 · IT 2017 is refreshingly old-school, in that it focuses on character and story, unlike too many recent "horror" movies. It is beautifully shot and superbly acted but perhaps could move at a slightly better pace.

Derry, Maine, October 1988 Bill Denbrough (Jaeden Lieberher) helps his little brother Georgie (Jackson Robert Scott) make a paper sailboat, calling it the S.S. Georgie. It is a perfectly paced and beautifully shot movie that captures some of the love for 80's horror movies. But 'IT' is actually much more than just a rehash of a plain-old horror movie: The characters are all interesting and the kids' acting skills are surprisingly convincing and moving.

Sep 6, 2019 · It was entertaining, but they seemed confused as to whether the movie was supposed to be horror or a comedy. Several scenes had the audience trying to laugh and then scream, practically in the same breath. For a 3 hour movie, they should've better managed the emotional pacing of the film.
