Has the reign of Kingda Ka, the tallest and once fastest roller coaster in the world, come to end at Six Flag’s Great Adventure? The rumors of Kingda Ka’s closure have been swirling online for days among roller coaster enthusiasts and Six Flags fans.

Rising above the pines of Ocean County is a king of the thrill. Out of the 1,300 roller coasters Taylor Bybee has experienced all over the world, he says Kingda Ka offers an adrenaline rush matched by few.

The Astro Blasters vehicle worked like a bumper car but also launched balls at other participants. The DisneyQuest space, located in the West Side neighborhood of Disney Springs, eventually was demolished, making room for tenants such as City Works restaurant and the now-shuttered NBA Experience.

Six Flags Great Adventure hasn’t said anything about Kingda Ka’s future, but coaster enthusiasts claim ride is coming down.
