According to Ja Morant, the Memphis Grizzlies ' fate was sealed when Lu Dort collided with him mid-air before Game 3 went into halftime. A nasty spill on the hardwood ruled him out for the final one-and-a-half games of a four-game sweep by the Oklahoma City Thunder.

The Grizzlies were leading 67-40 in the second quarter when Lu Dort undercut Ja Morant on a dunk attempt. That knocked Morant out of the game, and the Grizzlies fell apart without him. The Thunder would go on to win 114-108 to take a 3-0 lead, which all but ended the series.
