HPD: Intruder fatally shot during SW Houston apartment break-in; 2 suspects at large
HPD said three men broke into the apartment and pistol-whipped the resident. That resident's father spoke to KHOU 11 News and said his son called him to let him know someone was trying to break in. The father then called a friend who was nearby to help.
