Though it started out pretty chill, over the years, Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp steadily became bloated with monetization. There were all kinds of things to spend real money on, including loot boxes for unlocking rare items.

The new "paid" version of Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp has finally arrived, kicking all of the old app's microtransactions to the curb in favor of a one-time purchase model without online capabilities or multiplayer functionality - and even though fans are excited, they're also missing some of the axed features.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp Complete is available from the App Store for $9.99. Saves can be transferred until June 2, 2025, and transferring a save requires a Nintendo Account.

Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp first launched as a free-to-play game in 2017 on Android and iOS devices, almost three years ahead of the Animal Crossing boom in 2020. The game got regular updates throughout its seven-year history, with new events, items, and features added in subsequent versions of the app.

Pocket Camp Complete has just launched and it allows players to import custom designs from Animal Crossing: New Horizons, if they have made it in that game, via design codes. Accordingly, players have become interested in doing so and wish to learn how they can go about it.
