Hey Nintendo, tell us the leaked Switch 2 assets are legit without actually telling us the Switch 2 leaks are legit.

Nintendo isn’t officially at CES, but it might have stolen the show anyway: accessories-maker Genki brought a 3D-printed mockup of what it says is Nintendo’s Switch successor, and we got to hold it and take some high-resolution pictures.

At CES 2025, accessory maker Genki is showing off what it claims to be an accurate replica of Nintendo’s unannounced Switch 2 console.

While Nintendo hasn't revealed the Switch 2, CES 2025 saw many companies announce their entry into, or updates for, the handheld PC space. Lenovo announced the Legion Go S as the world's first non-Valve handheld PC, while Acer revealed its ginormous Nitro Blaze 8 and 11 handhelds. Atari also announced its new Gamestation Go handheld console.

On the face of it, this is a pretty unremarkable answer. It was already very obvious that the mockup was unofficial, though Genki did claim that it was based on an actual Nintendo Switch 2 unit. According to IGN, the company has now backtracked by admitting that it was created with rumors and leaked information rather than anything more concrete.
