The drone initiative is expected to provide real-time data on pollution sources, enabling swift intervention and precise mitigation measures. An official from the department told PTI that the tender process for acquiring these drones is expected to be finalised in the upcoming week.

He credited the ten historic steps taken by the Delhi government for air pollution level in the national capital coming down by 34.6 per cent.

To combat dust pollution, water sprinkling activities will increase from one to three times daily during the high-pollution months of November and December.

The government has listed measures including drone monitoring, an anti-dust campaign, formation of new task forces, road-sweeping machines and deployment of 200 mobile anti-smog guns as part of the plan.
