Curtis Jones has been a key part to Iowa State's success off the bench these past two seasons. Now, with Milan Momcilovic out due to injury, Jones has elevated his game even further as a starter being one of the most prolific scorers in the country.

In another life, Jones was a 6-foot-3, 160-pound shooting guard out of the Twin Cities who had zero Division I or Division II offers. Sure, he was blessed with a silky-smooth jumper (Jones says he could shoot since he came out of the womb), but guys with that type of build are a dime a dozen in the high school ranks.

Curtis Jones scored 33 points, Keshon Gilbert had seven of his 12 during a key run and No. 3 Iowa State pulled away late for a 76-61 win over Arizona State.
