Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid Recalled Over Skid Control ECU Software Issue
The hybrid version of the Corolla Cross has been hit with a safety recall. An estimated 42,199 vehicles have been produced for the US market with a specific brake actuator assembly supplied by Bosch, with said assembly containing iffy software for the skid control electronic control unit.
Toyota Recalls 42,000 Corolla Cross Hybrids Over Power-Brake Issue
Toyota Motor recalled more than 42,000 Corolla Cross Hybrids over a software error that may result in a loss of power-brake assist when turning corners. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a report that the error in the skid-control electronic-control unit can be fixed by dealers with a software update at no cost.
