New Delhi: The International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) has launched prayer meetings in its temples across Delhi, opposing the alleged actions against monks in Bangladesh. The organization has called for similar prayer protests nationwide.

Das’s organisation, the Sammilito Sanatani Jagaron Jote, confirmed the development and accused the Bangladeshi authorities of targeting their community members.

Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) said that India has consistently and strongly raised the issue of targeted attacks on Hindus and other minorities with Bangladesh government.

Hindu priest Chinmoy Krishna Das, a former member of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), was detained at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport on Monday.

Two more Hindu priests were arrested in Bangladesh, ISKCON Kolkata spokesperson Radharamn Das claimed on Saturday. Speaking to PTI, Radharamn Das said, "I have received information that two more ISKCON monks have been arrested by police in Bangladesh.

"We strongly protest such arrests and appeal to the Bangladesh government to give protection to minorities,” claimed Radharamn Das, the vice-president and spokesperson of ISKCON.

In a worrying development, another member of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON), Shyam Das Prabhu, was arrested on Saturday

ISKCON member on Saturday alleged that another Hindu priest has been arrested in Bangladesh after the arrest of Chinmoy Das amid ongoing protests.

The young ISKCON priest, identified as Shyam Das, was detained as he went to meet Chinmoy in jail. Calling their detention deeply shocking, ISKCON called for their immediate release in a post on X.

On Saturday, reports confirmed the arrest of Shyam Das Prabhu, a member of the International Society of Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON).
