The Boston Red Sox already have been tied to the biggest free agent in next year's class. The Toronto Blue Jays and Vladimir Guerrero Jr. were discussing a possible contract extension but set a deadline for the start of Spring Training.

Toronto Blue Jays infielder Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is prepared to enter MLB free agency after the 2025 World Series. With Toronto not coming close offering to his desired contract extension ( via ESPN's Jeff Passan ), Guerrero has chosen to table negotiations and give all 30 teams the chance to pursue him as a free agent.

Once again, a bad omen has struck the Toronto Blue Jays, stunting their ability to land deals. However this time, it came from within the house instead of from the open market.
