The Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Detroit Red Wings in overtime, 2-1, at Wells Fargo Center on Tuesday evening.

Rasmus Ristolainen scored in overtime and the Philadelphia Flyers defeated the Detroit Red Wings 2-1 on Tuesday night. Ristolainen tapped a loose puck just across the goal line at 4:34 in overtime.

Joel Farabee’s goal at 5:21 of the second period was the only scoring through two periods. He fired in a backhand shot from the slot as the Red Wings were scrambling in their zone. The Flyers had the game’s only power play and didn’t convert.

According to Ansar Khan of MLive.com, Detroit Red Wings right wing Patrick Kane (upper body) is not expected to return to action on Thursday against the Edmonton Oilers. Kane has missed the past three contests and is now expected to miss his fourth straight contest.

Connor McDavid and Corey Perry scored in the second period and the Oilers rallied to beat the Kraken 4-2 on Monday in Edmonton.
