If you need to make a last-minute run to the grocery store to pick up something for your holiday gathering, Walmart will not be an option for you this year, as the company told USA TODAY their stores will be closed.

Many retailers are closed all day on Thanksgiving. Here's a list of grocery stores in t City metro that are open on the holiday.

Walmart announced it will close all of its stores in the U.S. on Thanksgiving Day — around 4,600 of them. The mega outlet is following in the footsteps of other retailers such as Target, Lowe's and Costco who have all made the same decision.
