The tornado warnings in Atlantic and Ocean counties in New Jersey are no longer in effect on Wednesday night. Earlier Wednesday, a tornado warning in New Castle County, Delaware, expired at around 9:15 p.m. A severe thunderstorm watch was in effect across much of the Philadelphia region for Wednesday evening.

Another flood watch is in effect from 5 p.m. Wednesday to 2 a.m. Thursday, with another round of potent thunderstorms expected later Thursday.

Tuesday has been a hot and muggy one for the Philadelphia area with high temperatures in the 90s and the oppressive heat has given way to a round of scattered storms, some of which have turned severe in some places.
