A manhunt is underway in Texas after a Houston man shot and killed a deputy who was serving a warrant on him in the parking lot of a Dollar Tree, police said.

Deputy Jesus Vargas, a member of the U.S. Marshal’s Gulf Coast Violent Offenders Task Force was in a shooting in southwest Houston and the shooter has been killed, officials say.
