The walk of shame for the Cincinnati Bengals after the stunning home loss in primetime to the Washington Commanders got a little weird. Normally, the players just go back to the locker room and that's the end of it.

In a battle of recent LSU Heisman quarterbacks, the rookie upended the Pro Bowl veteran and, in the process, may have dashed the Cincinnati Bengals’ playoff hopes before the calendar hits October. The Bengals fell to 0-3 with their 38-33 loss to the Washington Commanders on Monday.

Joe Burrow told reporters the decision to meet privately with head coach Zac Taylor before heading to the locker room was mutual.

All that being said, Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow is not one to lose hope on his team. "We're by no means out of it, but playoffs or winning the division is the furthest thing from my mind," Burrow said during the postgame press conference (h/t ESPN ). "We just gotta get better this week."

Rookie Jayden Daniels threw for two touchdowns and ran for a score in a remarkably efficient performance in the Commanders’ win against the Bengals.
