The Golden State Valkyries, the WNBA’s 13th franchise, are gearing up for the WNBA Expansion Draft on Friday Dec 6.

The Golden State Valkyries were officially introduced as the 13th WNBA team, and the first expansion franchise since 2008, back in October 2023. Over a year later, they'll finally add some players to their roster with their highly anticipated expansion draft on Friday night.

The expansion draft will be held on Dec. 6 and will air on ESPN at 6:30 p.m. ET where the results, and the first players to wear a Valkyries uniform, will be made public. Viewers can stream the broadcast on ESPN.com and the ESPN app, too.
