More than 130 firefighters battled a fire involving fireworks explosions that engulfed four homes in Pacoima and critically injured a woman on Thursday night, authorities said.

A house fire was reported just before 12:20 p.m. in the 27000 block of Mandarin Avenue, according to the Hayward Police Department. Officers arrived to find a man suffering from injuries “consistent with a fireworks-related explosion,” police said.

Two people were hospitalized in critical condition after reported explosions due to fireworks at a house in Hayward Thursday afternoon, authorities said.
