Security changes at Tuskegee University after a deadly shooting over the school's homecoming weekend. 18-year-old La'Tavion Johnson was killed, and at least 16 others were injured early Sunday in a parking lot on campus.

Authorities said Montgomery resident Jaquez Myrick, 25, was seen leaving the scene of the shooting. Myrick was allegedly found in possession of a handgun with a machine gun conversion device and was arrested Sunday on a federal charge of possession of a machine gun, an Alabama Law Enforcement Agency spokesman said.

Tuskegee President Dr. Mark A. Brown announced the changes after the shooting early Sunday morning at an on-campus celebration.
