Indian-origin NASA astronaut Sunita Williams and Butch Wilmore are all set to return to Earth soon after an extended nine-month mission aboard the ISS, facilitated by the successful launch of SpaceX Crew-10.

The four newcomers — representing the US, Japan and Russia — will spend the next few days learning the station’s ins and outs from Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams

She is one of NASA's most experienced astronauts, falling under the GS-15 category in terms of pay scale. As a GS-15 astronaut, Williams earns an estimated annual salary of $152,258 (around ₹1.32 crore), in addition to other perks.
