Officers responded to a school in South Los Angeles Wednesday after receiving a call reporting a possible bomb threat at the campus, authorities said.

Two high schools in the Athens neighborhood of Los Angeles were placed on lockdown Wednesday as deputies responded to a bomb threat. The incident was reported just before 8:30 a.m. at Stella High Charter Academy and Middle College High School,

A bomb squad was en route to Middle College High School in South Los Angeles following reports of a bomb threat late Wednesday morning. The school is located at 1600 Imperial Highway in South LA's West Athens neighborhood.
