Sky has filed a lawsuit against Warner Bros Discovery (WBD) alleging “multiple material breaches” of the two companies’ co-funding and co-production agreement covering programming from WBD’s Max streaming service.

COMCAST’S European Sky pay-television unit sued Warner Bros, alleging the film and TV company breached an agreement to share co-production opportunities on projects like a Harry Potter TV series. Read more at The Business Times.

"Warner has repeatedly failed to offer Sky the annually required minimum number of contractually qualifying series for its consideration," Sky states.

Under the deal, Warner Bros. Discovery was allegedly obligated to present Sky with opportunities to co-produce at least four shows per year from 2021 to 2023. Warners called the lawsuit a "baseless attempt" to gain leverage in upcoming negotiations.
