DETROIT – Sebastian Cossa might end up playing only 45 minutes this season with the Detroit Red Wings. But he gained a wealth of experience being around the team for one week which should boost the prized goaltending prospect’s confidence moving forward.

With Cam Talbot available to start their next game, the Detroit Red Wings sent Sebastian Cossa back to the minors. Talbot and Alex Lyon, who both have been dealing with lower-body injuries, were part of Wednesday's practice as the Wings (11-13-4) prepared to face the Flyers Thursday in Philadelphia.

With Cam Talbot apparently healthy and ready to play, the Wings on Wednesday assigned Cossa to the minor-league affiliate Griffins.
