Samuel Girard stole the puck and scored his first goal of the season on a breakaway 2:47 into overtime as the Colorado Avalanche beat the Nashville Predators 3-2.

He got his wish Monday night. Samuel Girard and Devon Toews both scored their first goals of the season in a 3-2 overtime victory against the Nashville Predators at Ball Arena. Sam Malinski also added his first of the season two nights ago in a win against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Samuel Girard has two career overtime goals and both have come against the Nashville Predators, the team that traded him to the Avalanche seven years ago.
