Nearly a week after the death of Pope Francis at the age of 88, worshippers will gather in the Vatican to honor the life and legacy of the beloved head of the Catholic Church. The pope’s funeral will take place after three days of public mourning and will include many traditional elements.

Typically, popes are laid to rest beneath St. Peter's Basilica. On Saturday, Francis became the first Catholic leader in over 120 years to be buried outside the holy city, according to Vatican News.

The Jubilee of Teenagers, scheduled for April 25-27, took place with some modifications despite the death of Francis.
