Namibia’s president-elect Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah won more than 57 percent of the votes cast with her close rival Panduleni Itula of the IPC getting 26 percent.

With this win, not only as Namibia elected its first female president but also maintained the South West Africa People’s Organisation's 34-year stronghold across the nation.

Namibia will have its first female leader after Vice President Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah wins the presidential election.
