A former Miss Kansas contestant and attorney Kiah Duggins has been named as one of the victims of the flight that crashed into the Potomac River after colliding with a Black Hawk helicopter Wednesday night.

As families and communities identify victims in Wednesday night’s plane crash near Washington, D.C., we’re learning that a well-known civil rights attorney and former Miss Kansas contestant is among the 67 people dead.

A former East High and Wichita State University graduate was among the 64 victims in the D.C. plane crash on Wednesday night. A civil rights attorney who grew up in Wichita was among the 64 people on American Airlines Flight 5342 who perished after it crashed into the Potomac River.
