Israeli strikes on Lebanon Monday killed more than 490 people, including more than 90 women and children, Lebanese authorities said, in the deadliest barrage since the 2006 Israel-Hezbollah war. The Israeli military warned residents in southern and eastern Lebanon to evacuate ahead of its widening air campaign against Hezbollah.

The Israeli army has been sending warnings to Lebanese citizens to distance themselves from areas where Hezbollah might be storing weapons, as it intensifies its airstrikes in the country.

The IDF refused to rule out a possible ground invasion of Lebanon, as it launched a series of extensive air strikes in the country’s southern region.
