A narrow escape from a fatal accident that killed five MBBS students in Alappuzha. A lucky phone call saved one friend`s life.

In tragic accident in Kerala’s Alappuzha on Monday night, five young MBBS students lost their lives in a devastating collision between their car and a Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) bus.

In Alappuzha's Kalarcode, the CCTV footage of the accident revealed that the car, traveling at high speed on a rainy night, lost control and collided with the bus before being crushed beneath it.

Due to the impact of the collision, the car was completely damaged and the occupants inside were taken out after breaking open the vehicle, police sources said.

Kerala woke up on Tuesday morning to the sad news of the death of five first-year MBBS students at the state-run Alappuzha Medical College Hospital, in a horrific accident on Monday night.

The police said the accident took place near Kalarcode. However, the cause of the incident is yet to be ascertained.
