Michigan State's Jaden Akins makes Big Ten all-defensive team while Akins and Jase Richardson make all-freshman team.

To go along with his all-freshman team honors, Jase Richardson was named as a third team all Big Ten selection. Jaden Akins was also named to the team, going along with his all-defensive team selection. Richardson was named unanimously, while Akins was selected by the coaches.

Michigan State freshman guard Jase Richardson had another stellar performance in the Spartans' 79-62 win over Michigan on Sunday.

Andy Katz put out his national All-Freshman teams on Tuesday, and Jase Richardson made a first team that was headlined by superstar Cooper Flagg.

As the regular season concludes, and the Big Ten Tournament is getting set to begin, it is now time for regular season awards to be handed out. All-Big Ten teams, along with individual awards were announced on the Big Ten Network at noon on Tuesday.
