An update on the status of Atlanta Braves third baseman Austin Riley arrived ahead of Friday's game against the Miami Marlins. According to multiple sources, Riley is getting a CT scan on Monday to check the status of his hand.
Braves' Austin Riley: Could have cast removed Monday
Being able to get the cast removed then will give Riley a shot to return at some point during the postseason should Atlanta make a run, although it's not clear how likely his return would be. Riley also revealed Friday that the fracture to his right hand he suffered back in mid-August was to his hamate bone.
